About Us
The society was founded in May 2012. The inaugural chairman and founding member is Mr Aubrey Oliver.
Monthly meetings are held in the Henderson Hall, The Glebe, Stranorlar on the fourth Monday of each month from September to May. The meetings usually starting at 8 pm. The Annual General Meeting of the society is held in May.
The committee arrange a talk or presentation on a topic of interest to the members and general public which is advertised locally in advance of the meeting. All are welcome to attend the presentation or talk and enjoy a cuppa afterwards.
The Historical Society also arrange events locally for Heritage Week, usually held on the third week of August annually. Please check www.heritageweek.ie for details of events locally and nationally during this week.
